LOVE it or HATE it? | by rita — September 30, 2011

curly

I love it when we have a change in season (although today is a minor setback) needless to say, I have a REAL reason to change my look, revamp and keep everyone guessing.

As a woman I think it’s very important to always change with the season.. if your hair was long in the summer, why not go short for Autumn and vice versa. Maybe your not ready to take the jump and rock a short hairstyle, so why don’t you add a lil colour..just something a little different, If your always straight, try curly.

The world is constantly changing so why should we stay the same?

My favourite lady who is always changing her look is Angela Simmons, she’s my example of the ugly duckling turned princess because I’m loving, loving, loving her right now.

Lets look at her hair journey (Maybe you’ll get some ideas about your next look ;) )

smooth legs-resized-600

Martin Luther King once said, ‘The hair is the richest ornament of a woman”. Very true for the luscious mane that crowns our lovely head, how very untrue for many other parts of the body where it is found.

So what is the best way to get rid of this inconvenient hair that refuses to stop growing. Let’s way out our options:

Pro’s of Waxing:

1. Waxing is a very convenient, cost effective and long lasting.

2.Waxing removes directly from the roots so there are no nasty stubbles and no need to worry about re-growth at least 3-6 weeks.

3.Waxing can be used on virtually every part of the body most commonly found used on arms, legs, underarms and bikini area. Other parts include face, upper lip, chin, eyebrows lower lips, chest and back.

Cons for waxing:

1. It hurts……a lot.

Pro’s for shaving:

1. It’s quick and easy

Con’s for shaving:

1. Shaving doesn’t remove the hair from the roots so you will always have to deal with razor bumps and itching- not cool.

2. The hair grows back at least 3 days later- it’s a drag.

3. Your prone to getting more cuts.

4.Hair grows back thicker than before.

In conclusion, waxing seems like it is the only way to go! Although it hurts, it keeps your skin smooth and razor bumps free Convinced? Check out the after care do’s and don’t's for waxing.

After Care for WAXING – Dos and Don’t's

1 Do not expose yourself to direct sunlight for 48 hours

2 Avoid Hot Baths for 24 hours

3 Avoid Fragrances creams and lotions 24 hours (including body scrubs)

4 Don’t worry about the redness after waxing, this will settle within 24/48 hours max

Love/Hate

Every-time Najmina does my nails, it always has to match my mood. I’m weren’t too sure about how I felt today but I know that I don’t want to go for the typical plain polish. I need it to be confused so to speak…like my mood. xoxo
